I sort of rediscovered my fondness for Jakwob this week and so have decided to post a few favorite remixes he has done. Also included is a sick A-Trak (you might know him better as half of the Duck Sauce duo) electro remix.
Love this guy - has phenomenal flow and I just get the feeling that he is smarter than most of the other guys out there. Here he raps over Kanye's Drive Slow. I like it
Jakwob is a fairly prominent dubstep producer in the UK. This is his new track, 'Right Beside You'. I've been listening to it on repeat for the past two days, it's really chilled out. Have a listen.
Here are three sick songs. The first is a Nero track that has to be one of my favorites. Second is Katy B's big single that was a breakout hit in the UK last year. Finally is a pretty cool remix of the oldies song 'Please Mr. Postman' by Cragga.
Here is the long anticipated next single from the Swedish House Mafia. This is still not released and was played for the first time on the radio a few house ago by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show. Titled 'Save the World Tonight' and featuring the vocals of John Martin, this doesn't disappoint.
This dubstep/drum & bass duo had a huge year last year, culminating in their album release in January. Really big in England at the moment and definitely an example of more mainstream, accessible dubstep. Here are 3 of their tracks and a Daft Punk/N.E.R.D collaboration.
Bonus Track: This is Flux Pavillion's 'I Can't Stop' much heavier and more intense than the previous tracks but sounds absolutely sick with the bass turned up all the way.
For those of you who were a fan of Wynter Gordon's 'Dirty Talk' here is her new track ' Till Death'. The quality isn't fantastic as it is a radio rip but still a sweet song.
Christoph Andersson is an up and coming talent from New Orleans. Only 18 years old, but has already released an EP and has gotten major airtime on radio & blogs across the nation. This song is really chill, perfect to work to.
Elecro Tuesday. Here are three sweet electro remixes that I think you'll all really enjoy. I've been listening to them a lot recently and I'd say must download for all.
So the British dubstep duo Jack Beats just released a new track this week. Its called All Night, a little different to traditional dubstep. Check it out.
So there are some sick songs out this week. Starting with Martin Solveig's (of 'Hello' fame) latest release. This track features the vocals of Kele from Bloc Party.
HUGE new song released at Ultra. Produced by Tim Mason, with an edit by Steve Angello of the Swedish House Mafia. After the 1 min build up, the drop is sick. One of the biggest songs in house music right now.
Finally, a sick bootleg made by DEFEP combining British pop artist Adele with Dutch electronic legend Afrojack. I'm a huge fan of 'Rolling in the Deep' and this just makes it a bit more intense.
First off here is new Wale. This song has gotten a lot of attention on other blogs, but I figure I'll post it anyway. Textbook old-school Wale - def check it out if your into that.
New Chiddy!! Gotta love these guys. I've been hoping for a collaboration between Chiddy and Mac Miller, and here it finally is. Not the best song Chiddy has come out with, but Xaphoon's sample of this old classic "Heatwave" is pretty spectacular. Check it out
Sorry for the late post. Here is new Brenton Duvall, and i don't see how the guy does it. Semisonic and Biggie are you kidding?? His songs aren't mashups but true remixes. Obviously must download
Some more solid dubstep. Chase & Status had a huge year in 2010 and just released their second album in January. This is one of their older remixes. Also check out the Professor Green track, he's getting pretty big in the UK. Enjoy.
