IanJ, KillaGraham and more

Here are some great tunes to get you through mid-terms. First off is a new artist to butterymuffin, IanJ. He's from Tennessee and has some serious flow. I really like the upbeat feel to this song.
She Told Me - IanJ

I'm starting to really like this next artist. They released a great mixtape last week including Take Me Away, which is an absolute gem. This song may not have the same "wow" effect but it's really growing on me.
Ride Out (ft. S.I.R) - Fortune Family

I'm usually not into dub remixes because I feel like they usually ruin the flow of the original song. This however manages to maintain the integrity of the song. I like it.
Say it Ain't So - Weezer (KillaGraham Remix)

Aaand finally, AudioDax. I realized I had forgotten to post their first song (the best one) which has a very smooth chill feel.
Make Noise - AudioDax

Here is their second.

Feel Me Flow - Naughty By Nature

One of my all time favorite songs. creep the video

Your going to have to download this one on itunes.

Deans List - The Drive In Mixtape

Anddd they finally release their mixtape. It's pretty good. Though K2YL is by far the best song, in my opinion, there are some other bangers too. It almost feels like an early chiddy bang. Here are a few songs and you can download the whole mixtape here.

Burn It All - Dean's List

The People - Dean's List

Dear Professor - Dean's List

Also, Joe has come in hot with some new house beats. Check out his page

Architecture in Helsinki / Truth Himself

I'm kinda into this song right now. It's sort of has a Chromeo feel to it. Not sure what genre I'd place it in, but it would be something along the lines of electro alternative. It's freakin catchy...

Contact High - Architecture in Helsinki

And another Truth Himself. We've posted two great songs from him before (which I personally believe are better and you can find them here). But nevertheless it's a pretty darn good song - smooth hook and great lyrics.

Get Going (Ft. Cam Meekins) - Truth Himself

Smokey Robotic Outside the Lines

Literally just got emailed this song/video and I think it's tight. Has a great electro beat and smooth vocals. More along the lines of a mike posner type beat and lyrics, though I wouldn't say the two are the same. Give it a listen..

and also check out Joe Ultimate Dubstep/House/Electric page for sweet bangers (he has much much better music of this type than me)

Brenton Duvall Tryouts, Cam Meekins

First off a new Brenton Duvall remix. He must be the most consistent remixer out there. I feel like he needs to link of to some rapper, like Xaphoon and Chiddy, to really get to the next level. Young Prince perhaps?? Anyway check out the new song..

Tryouts (Brenton and Childish Gambino) - Javelin

And second comes a new release from Boston's own Cam Meekins. His flow has improved dramatically. This is a good song

Prettier Things - Cam Meekins

Gate City Squad - So Fly

Mattyfee (whose banger we posted a few days back here) sent me an e-mail with this song from his group Gate City Squad. I think it's a damn good song that you all should check out. More coming from this artist..

Moufy - City Dreamin'

New Mixtape today from Moufy, who is a local Boston kid with great flow. He brought us this song Twist It and Light It, which is SICK. It's definitely the best song on the mixtape, but there are a bunch of other solid tracks. He samples from Kanye, NAS and others. Here are a few samples.

Just a Dreamer - Moufy
Download

Lights Low - Moufy

Cry A Tear - Moufy

Shout out to Pax for the heads up on this. Check out Paxton's Muffiny Videos for sweet music videos...including the new Kanye All of the Lights video ft. Rihanna.

Mattyfee / Mother earth / Jason Marcus

New artist to Butterymuffin, Mattyfee seems to have real potential. This song has a great beat - nice use of piano to accompany the vocals. Great song.
My Everything (ft. Collin McLoughlin) - Mattyfee

SWEET mashup between tupac and Greg Laswell (never heard of him). Incredibly chill!
And Then You Got Away - Mother Earth Remixes

Last but not least, good ol' Jason Marcus. I don't know why but I really like his songs. Be sure to check out his first, The Release. Great lyrics and catchy hook...
Young and Foolish - Jason Marcus

Lets celebrate the three day weekend

And start it off right with an oldschool Snoop freestyle. One of the best I've scene

Be sure to check out the my new dubstep / electro / house page for two dope bangers!

Baby Roulette - Chiddy Bang

New Chiddy. Probably celebrating Train's Grammy win, Xaphoon crushes a good sample. God I love chiddy. It isn't one of their best, but a good song nonetheless.

Upbeat Thursday

Weekend is basically upon us. Here are some upbeat, catch, fun tunes to get you in the mood.

Not a typical butterymuffin tune (but what is??). I love the old school funky beat. It's a pretty damn good song. Check it..
Holidays - Miami Horror

Here is a slower feel good hip hop song. It samples Pheonix's Girlfriend, but doesn't overdue it. I like it.
Possibilities (Ft. Skizzy Mars) - Fritz Arnaude

Official video. In the Morning (Ft. Drake)

Official Music video for In the Morning (Ft. Drake) off of J. Cole's latest mixtape Friday Night Lights, which you can find here. Definitely his sentimental side...

As always, check out more sweet videos in Paxton's Muffiny Video section.

Olu - Boys and Girls

Olu just released a mini-mixtape and it's great. Much more of an emotional feel than we're used to from this emcee. His beats, hook, and lyrics are spot on. Definitely give these two tracks a try... and if you like them download the whole mixtape here.

Jetpack Shit (Ft. Sucka Free CJ) - Olu (My Favorite)

You are Not a Robot

This has become one of my all time favorite songs. It came out on Hoodie's debut mixtape, Pep Rally, last spring. Here is the music video. I guess it's alright - Hoodie looks kinda...well..gay, but the song is phenomenal. Buy some corduroys Hoodie.

Download the song Here (it's all the way at the bottom)

Blow the Skrilla - Brenton Duvall

This guy just produces straight fire! It takes 1 minute to get into this song, but when the beat finally kicks in he kills it. Oh, and you know what also makes him awesome? He's a F&ckin bro.

Blow the Skrilla (Ft. Too $hort) - Brenton Duvall

And here is a sweet video of him making it...

Hypnotized (Ft. O.V) - Goone

And here is a little extra. These guys are a local band out of Woods Hole, MA. I'd definitely count them as one of my all time favorites. Please search Pete and Mike Band on Itunes and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Below is a video of them playing live on the Cape last summer...

Dean's List - K2YL

This song is currently on repeat - very smooth chill hip/hop. Great one to relax too. I can't take credit for finding this. Shout out to DA kids at SAS.

Great hip hop

Another Brenton Duvall and obviously it's awesome. It's a bit old, but good songs are good songs. Must listen too.
Strange Times (Prod Brenton Duvall) - Young Prince

This song keeps growing on me. It's been on my Itunes for a while and seems to get better the more I play it. It's a much more heartfelt hip/hop song but still has a catchy beat and hook.

Give Me the World (Prod Sinima) - ZAK!

Be My Star - Loggy

This guy hasn't even graduated yet. I'm sorry, but this is a really good song that girls will especially love (and I secretly do). Must download.
Be My Star (Ft. Kelsi Luck) - Loggy

New Chiddy!

As always with Chiddy Bang, it's a quality production and great song. Not one of my favorites, but worth listening to and downloading. I'm really pumped for the album coming out this year.

Rebel - Chiddy Bang

I think this is a pretty sweet mashup. It incorporates chill beats and whistling with Kanye's fire. Give it a listen.

Young Folks - Peter Bjorn and Kanye West

Shwayze and Cisco

So they released a mini-album the other day, The W's. It feels like the old Shwayze that I love. Every song on the album is great, but I especially like these three songs below. Very chill.

Cali Trippin' - Shwayze and Cisco

Sunday Morning California - Shwayze and Cisco

ISH - Let Them

This song is pretty sweet. It starts of with a relaxing woman's voice...then turns quickly into an upbeat banger. Definitely worth checking out.

Solo Ft Jerry Robinson - Party

Got an e-mail from this guys distributer. Usually these songs suck, but this isn't bad. It's definitely meant to be a club banger so if that's what your into give it a spin.

Pretty Lights Remix - All of the Lights

Sorry I've been late on this one, but I wasn't sure how much I liked it. I like it. Check it out - kind of a cool video too.

There is also an Empire State of Mind remix among a few other. Download the whole EP Here

Gorilla Warfare Tactics

These guys are going to be huge! I have two new releases for you today.

Here is an incredibly sweet freestyle. Not only do their lyrics flow but they have meaning too - something you don't often see with these dumb ass rappers nowadays.

And here is their second song. In my opinion it's not quite as good as Temptations, but it's still fire. Check it
The Tale of Mr. Street - Gorilla Warfare Tactics

Hey Rosetta!

This is the perfect song for a Monday. Not sure what genre this fits into, but I'd say somewhere between indie, electric, and rock. That doesn't make sense? No, but whatever it is this song is freaking good - a bit emotional actually. Give it a test

Yer Spring - Hey Rosetta!

The song reminds me of one of my all time favorites - No Surprise by James Yuill. You can find that Here

Wiz Khalifa - On My Level Ft. Too Short [Official Music Video]

K.O Kid

Download

Crave You (Ft. Giselle) - K.O Kid

Green and Yellow - Lil Wayne

There are way too many remixes of Black and Yellow out there. However I figure i'll post this since the only AFC team that deserves to win superbowls, the Patriots, aren't in it, so I'm firmly for the Pack. The song is dece

I Need a Doctor - Dre

New Dre. It's dece. To be honest I didn't really like it the first time I heard it, but it seems to grow on me more and more. I wish Dre had more of a verse cause I love how much of a boss he is. Worth listening to..
I Need A Doctor (ft. Eminem) - Dr. Dre
