Wax and EOM

These are my four favorite songs off of Wax and EOM's album (now available on itunes), Liquid Courage. It's hard to find online for the free download--I found it through a torrent. Here's that file. Wax, not only a great rapper with some of the smoothest flow out there, is a phenomenal story teller as well. Listen to the Adventures of Larry and Tina lyrics and you'll know what I mean. Also, EOM hashes out some of the best, non-tacky beats to rap to; honestly just a great duo. Definitely will blow up soon.

New Kanye West

Just released this single today. Don't worry, there's none of that Autotune bullshit:
Power - Kanye West (Ft. Dwele)

Back to Basics

A classic hip/hop rap song that should be in everyone's library.
Enough Beef - Chino, Common, Royce Da 5'9

Anyone that hasn't already heard of Mike Posner needs to listen up. Looking forward to his full album this summer. My favorite:
Speed of Sound - Mike Posner (off his mix-tape)

Hot off of Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek's new album Revolutions per Minute
Just Begun - Reflection's Eternal (Feat Jay Electronica, J.Cole, Mos Def)

Before you listen to any music, look at 50 cent preparing for his new movie, Things Fall Apart, about a football player who gets cancer. Who knows if it will be good or not, but I personally have lost some respect for the rapper who now looks like bitch-mcgee. He went from 215 lbs to 160 lbs.

This first song is a mashup off of A-traks new album, dirty southern dance 2. Its not one of the more popular ones online, but I like it the most.

Vampires Going Ham--A-Trak

This is a high quality hip hop song. Black Milk is a rapper and MC from Detroit, not widely known, but dangerously talented. Check it out.

Holiday!

This song, by Dizzee Rascall, has been one of my favorites ever since it released early last year. This song topped all UK charts for weeks before Summer of 2009, and I believe it would be a waste to not share this for Summer 2010.
Enjoy

THE STATEMENT

And to cap it off...

no description necessary, just watch and love:

Sorry, been gone, but here's some fresh

Sorry for the lapse of posting, but here's an extra juicy one to make up for it:

Traditionally, I'm not a huge fan of either one of these guys. This song, on the other hand, is hot as shit. The beat is especially what gets me, but both guys rap hard too.

Fuck the Money--B.o.B. (feat. Asher Roth)

WHAT!?!? Is this old 50? No, its new, but it sounds like his old, good stuff. It's a little bit dark and gangsta (like his old shit used to be), but if you're not into that kind of hip-hop, then I cannot call you a true connoisseur. Maybe 50 finally realized that he just has to stay true to his original style, and not try to get to crazy with that baby by me shit.

You Should Be Dead--50 Cent

Next, we have one of my favorite remix/mashing DJs out there. He is not very well known--yet--but his songs are crazy good. I don't know why I haven't posted him earlier, but check it out. DJ Whole-Z doesn't have a website, and isn't on most other ones, but you can find his stuff here. I would highly recommend downloading his mixtape. The kid will definitely blow up soon.

Finally, the new mashup from the White Panda, another all time great. Although this one doesn't rest up by my favorite panda mashups, it's still pretty good. Enjoy

STRAIGHT HIP HOP

Here are some non-mainstream, high quality hip hop songs for you to enjoy. The first by Living Legends is one of the groups more popular songs, and I want to promote them as much as possible. The group has 7 or 8 rappers in it, but my favorites are Murs and The Grouch. As for the second song, its got some good names in it, but I don't know them all. Love the song though.

Pogo on Disney's "UP"

Australian DJ Pogo makes this upbeat masterpiece using dialogue cuts from Disney's motion picture UP (2009). "UPular" was released recently by Pogo and promises to soon be known worldwide. Sick beat that won't fail to put you in a good mood.

After seeing the video for this song, I realized there is not much I can say but YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT. Sick song, sick video.

Jamaica and Breakbot

Definitely a great find and one of the sickest songs out there today. Great electro/pop remix to the band Jamaica's hit single "I Think I Like U 2". Breakbot does an amazing job making this groundbreaking beat, definitely a hit for the summer.
Enjoy!

Gigamesh ******

If you liked Gigamesh's amazing remix of Mike Posner's "Cooler Than Me", then this remix of the hit single "I'll Get You" by Classixx will be right up your alley. This is a great electro tune and one for the ages.

Dirty Talk?

This song is not necessarily new, but SOMEHOW went under the radar...
David Guetta released this hit alongside Wynter Gordon, who you would remember did the vocals in the song "Sugar" by Flo Rida. This song, I believe, is one of the best Dance songs of our generation, definitely deserves to be on the charts and fighting for top spot.
Enjoy!

Belgian electro and le Hip-hop Francais

This first song you might expect to be posted by granddaddy, it's called the Pope of Dope, an electro mashup of The Party Harders and the Sub. These guys are Belgian nightclub masterminds, and judging by the sounds of this song, probably actually are the Popes of Dope.

This next song is by MC Solaar, one of my all time favorites. A french rapper, he is known globally for his smooth flow and liked by many jazz-rap and acid jazz fans here in the States. Anyway, this is a single he came out with not too long ago, and it blows my mind. FROMAGE.

La Belle et le Bad Boy

Featured Artist: EDX

This summer, I suggest you all jam to EDX. This multi-talented Italian DJ knows how to make a true remix, and has done so for many mainstream artists in his time, including Eric Prydz, David Guetta, Axwell, Armin Van Buuren, and Kaskade. His sound is perfect for the summer time, it'll put you to ease and take the stress away. I've put together a playlist of his top songs, a very strong Club/House playlist.
Enjoy!

Bassnectar & Nelly Furtado

Bassnectar released this tune with Nelly Furtado, a tune that promises to show Bassnectar's skill to the whole world. This dubstep/pop remix is off the chain, definitely worth downloading.

A new rapper to reach the limelight (on the web at least) is Big K.R.I.T. I found his mixtape (Big K.R.I.T. Wuz Here) on my buddies' blog: Dailywax.blogspot.com. Anyway, this guy is fresh as shit and I have a feeling he's gonna hit the rap scene like a ton of bricks. He's already got some big names with him like Wiz, Curren$y, and my all-time boy, Devin. Check out these songs.
